This accredited symposium was co-developed with the Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism and Novo Nordisk and was planned to achieve scientific integrity, objectivity and balance.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the importance of screening and diagnosis of diabetes kidney disease (DKD) in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and its impact on cardiovascular health
  • Analyze the latest clinical practice guideline-recommended therapies for the management of DKD in patients with T2D
  • Interpret new clinical data (e.g., FLOW clinical trial) and determine GLP-1 RA’s place in therapy for DKD
  • Implement practical strategies for DKD management in patients with T2D, including counselling points and utilization of tools and resources for primary care providers (PCPs) and allied healthcare professionals
