Dr. Mukerji is a Staff Endocrinologist and Clinician in Quality and Innovation and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto and Women’s College Hospital Institute of Health Systems and Virtual Care (WIHV). Her primary appointment is in the Division of Endocrinology at Women’s College Hospital with cross-appointment at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Mukerji is the Corporate Medical Information officer at WCH.
Her clinical interests are in endocrine in pregnancy optimization and transitions of care for young patients living with diabetes.
Academically, Dr. Mukerji has: 1) promoted high-value care through stewardship initiatives that have been scaled across various institutions, 2) developed and evaluated multiple innovative ambulatory care models including novel care models that leverage digital pathways, and 3) improved the quality of delivery of care for patients with diabetes, particularly among vulnerable populations in pregnancy and young adults with type 1 diabetes.
For her commitment to advancing QI, she was awarded the DOM William Goldie Prize Award for Quality and Innovation in 2020 at the University of Toronto, Excellence in Resource Stewardship Teaching Award in 2024 at the Temerty School of Medicine and Clinical Innovator of the Year from Digital Health Canada in 2024.
