Leanne Reimche is section lead for General internal Medicine, Department of Medicine and is Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Calgary. She completed an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy (uSask), Medical School (UBC), an Msc Epidemiology (uOttawa), Master of Management (McGill- IMHL), Msc Applied Nutrition (UNE)
Leanne has also completed a certificate from Harvard Medical School in Patient Safety, Informatics and Leadership and has completed a master of management (International Masters for Healthcare Leadership IMHL) through the Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University. Her interests in leadership include organization structure, culture and wellness. She is chief medical officer IPTN.
Clinical interests include obesity medicine, nutrition/metabolism and lifestyle medicine. She has certification in Obesity Medicine (OBIM), Lifestyle Medicine (dipl ABLM). Outside of hospital work, she has an innovative outpatient practice that focuses on empowering patients to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors to prevent and treat chronic disease. Her clinical practice is at the South Health Campus Hospital, Calgary, AB where she works as a general internist. She is also interested in and works with the virtual hospital at home (Virtual Home Hospital) in the Calgary Health Region.
