Dr. Yale is professor of endocrinology at McGill University, director of the Glen Centre for Specialized Medicine, and endocrinologist at the McGill University Health Centre. Dr Yale chaired the Clinical and Scientific Section of the CDA from 1992-1994. He chaired the Expert Committee that published the 2001 Canadian Diabetes Association Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Prevention and Management of Hypoglycemia in Diabetes. He was a member of the Steering Committee for Diabetes Canada Clinical Practice Guidelines from 1995 to 2019. His research interests (250 publications) include the prevention of hypoglycemia in type 1 diabetes, intensive management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and he participated in numerous multicentre trials.
