Dana Kukje Zada completed her BSc in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University, after which she worked at Virox Technologies Inc. as a Microbiology lab technician. She is currently an MSc student in the Schertzer Lab at McMaster University where she is investigating D-lactate metabolism and its role in promoting inflammation and fibrosis during metabolic dysfunction associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD).
