Jasmine Pipella is a third-year PhD student in the department of physiology and pathophysiology at the University of Manitoba. Jasmine works under the supervision of Dr. Peter Thompson and her research is focused on understanding the role of the immune system on beta cell stress responses during type 1 diabetes. Jasmine has been recognized with several awards including Canada Graduate Scholarship, Research Manitoba PhD Studentship, and the Janice Dodd Award for Excellence in Endocrinology.
