Dr. Rayzel Shulman, MD, PhD, is a pediatric endocrinologist at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto. She is a Scientist in the Child Health and Evaluative Sciences Program at the Sickkids Research Institute and an Adjunct Scientist at ICES.
Dr. Shulman received her medical degree from McMaster University and completed a PhD in Health Services Research at the University of Toronto. She completed residency programs in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Toronto. Her research program is focused on developing and evaluating health services interventions to improve health outcomes and the quality of care for youth living with diabetes. An area of focus is transition to adult care. She has received research funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Diabetes Canada, and Physicians’ Services Incorporated (PSI).
