Jolene gained an interest in wound management as an undergraduate nursing student. She continued pursuing her interest by taking the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course at The University of Toronto and the Nurses Specializing in Wound Ostomy and Continence Education Program. She then went on to complete the Master of Clinical Science in wound healing degree from Western University in London, Ontario in 2012.
Jolene currently works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, Ontario Canada. She leads an interprofessional wound care program for the 11 inpatient units as well as provides wound care consultation for community members living with spinal cord injury and neurologic conditions.
In addition to her clinical work, Jolene is also currently a faculty member for the International Interprofessional Wound Care course, as well as the ECHO Ontario Skin and Wound Virtual Educational Program. She is also an Adjunct Lecturer for the School of Nursing at Queen’s University.
