Stephanie Bizzeth is a sixth generation African Nova Scotian, and graduate of the School of Occupational Therapy at Dalhousie University. As an Occupational Therapist she has worked in the areas of acute care, geriatrics, community, and mental health. Currently she holds the position of Advanced Practice Lead, with the Provincial Centre of Training, Education, and Learning with Nova Scotia Health, focused on adapting psychotherapy for diverse populations. Stephanie worked as a Research Assistant on the Diversity in Health Professions qualitative study – that examined the experiences of health professionals from marginalized populations. She was awarded the Kelly Bang Lectureship at Dalhousie University in 2020 and has lectured on anti-Black racism in healthcare at Western, McGill, and Dalhousie University.
