Dr. Tamara Spaic is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Western University in London. She completed her training in internal medicine and endocrinology, followed by a two-year research fellowship at Western University, where she also earned a Master of Science degree in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics. She has clinical practice in adult endocrinology with focus on type 1 diabetes. Dr. Spaic was the co-Principal Investigator for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (Breakthrough T1D) Transition Trial, the first multicenter randomized controlled trial of structured transition in young adults with T1D. She is the Medical Director of the Diabetes Education Centre at St. Joseph’s Health Care and the Deputy Division Chair of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Western University. Dr. Spaic is committed to enhancing the lives and care of people with diabetes through her clinical research and practice.
