Kevin A Peterson, MD, MPH, FRCS(Ed), FAAFP. Dr. Peterson is the Vice President of Primary Care and Quality at the American Diabetes Association and Professor Emeritus of Family Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Prior coming to the ADA, Dr. Peterson directed the Center of Excellence in Primary Care with additional appointments in the Institute for Health Informatics and the Institute for Engineering in Medicine. A fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Dr. Peterson has published hundreds of scientific articles and publications focusing on diabetes care, clinical trials, and medical engineering. In 2016 he founded Treatment.com AI, an Artificial Intelligence company now located in Vancouver, Canada, that supports global access to high quality medical information. At the American Diabetes Association, he supports the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based methods to improve diabetes care delivery in community and primary care settings.
