Person with Lived Experience (PWLE) Registration

While the Diabetes Canada/CSEM Professional Conference educational target audience is healthcare providers, trainees, and researchers with specific educational needs, we deeply value patient perspectives and experiences in the healthcare community. Patient feedback and involvement in our education programs, support groups, patient advisory boards, and advocacy are instrumental in shaping healthcare policies, improving patient care, and driving research advancements. If you are not a healthcare provider and would like to attend, please consider volunteering or you can purchase a PWLE registration for $395.00.

Food & Beverage 

Your conference registration includes coffee/tea/water at breaks, buffet lunch on Thursday & Friday, light appetizers at the receptions on Thursday and Friday evening, and meals at Accredited Symposia. Seating is limited at Accredited Symposia.

CSEM 18th Annual Residents’ Day

Residents’ Day will take place on Wednesday, November 20th, just prior to the start of the Diabetes Canada/CSEM Professional Conference and is specifically designed for PGY4&5 Endocrinology and Metabolism residents. The program includes endocrine lectures and small group discussions led by experts, and resident council meeting hosted by the CSEM Faculty Advisor to Residents, Dr. Tayyab Khan. Residents' Day is free for CSEM Resident Members who are registered for the professional conference.

PGY3 Internal Medicine Residents are welcome to register for the morning Endocrine lectures, however, the afternoon Meet-the-Professor sessions are reserved for PGY4 and 5 Endocrine and Metabolism Residents.

MyRoad Trainee Day

This workshop aimed at trainees and early career researchers is titled “Bridging the gap: Integrating Basic Research, Patient Engagement, Communication and Knowledge Implementation” and will take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 1:00pm – 7:00pm at the Halifax Convention Center. This workshop is free but you must be a registered conference attendee to attend. You can add this workshop when you register for conference.
